Treasury Accountant

DUTIES :

1.      Cash Management :

Daily cash management :-

• Forecasting daily cash requirements of group
• Managing cash flows and controlling current and money market accounts within bank facilities at a number of institutions
• Monitoring of actual cash flows against forecast
• Authorised signatory on bank accounts / approval of payments
• Allocation of foreign proceeds to debtors accounts
• Prepare and report on weekly group borrowings position
• Liason and correspondence with banks
• Daily monitoring, recording and reconciliation of transactions on foreign
• Currency bank accounts ((CFC accounts)

Cash flow forecasting :-

• Prepare and maintain short and long term cash flow forecasts of group

2.      Currency Risk Management :

• Preparing and maintaining the group forecast of foreign currency exposures
• Management of group foreign currency exposures and forward exchange contracts
• Liaison with Treasury service provider
• Accounting for forward exchange contracts
• Participate in ongoing evaluation of group currency risk management policy

3.      Treasury Committee :

• Preparation of quarterly Treasury report for board of directors
• Participate in ongoing evaluation and improvement of group Treasury management policy

4.      Exchange Control :

• Preparation of exchange control applications
• Responsible for compliance with exchange control regulations with regard to documentation supporting exports, imports and foreign funds received.

5.      Other :

• Preparation of ad hoc analyses relating to cash management, cash projections and foreign currency management
• Maintenance of monthly exchange rates on accounting system.

REQUIREMENTS :

•        B. Comm degree or equivalent
•        Treasury qualification / diploma an advantage.
•        2-3 years as Treasurer in a similar environment an advantage.
•        Ability to communicate at all levels.
•        Good analytical skills.
•        Good, careful attention to detail.
•        Good time management skills.
•        Ability to identify process improvements and recommend changes. 
•          Good numerical skills.
•          Reliable, responsible, unquestionable integrity and honesty
