Financial Manager
JOB PURPOSE:
To plan, organise, direct and coordinate the financial procedures , strategies, interventions and programs aimed at optimizing business profitability and good corporate governance
EFFECTIVE OUTPUT AREAS:
•Provide transformational leadership to align financial practices and procedures with agreed objectives and plans.
•Coordinate and implement the agreed financial and management reporting procedures and systems.
•Direct, coordinate and implement the agreed treasury management procedures and programs.
•Coordinate and develop a pro-active business planning and management control system.
•Implement best practice corporate governance controls, systems and legislative requirements.
•Direct, coordinate and implement business risk and control management programs.
•Prepare plans, organize, lead and control the financial team to satisfy service level agreements and support the business objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
BCON (HONS) plus articles, a minimum of 3 years relevant experience, in the manufacturing industry
SKILLS, COMPETENCIES & KNOWLEDGE
Financial Management & measurement systems (e.g benchmark tools EVA, Value based tools)
Cost & Management Accounting
Working Capital Management
Foreign Currency markets & instruments
IFRS/ GAAP
Investment decision making techniques
Business modelling, planning, budgeting and forecasting
Corporate Governance legislation and practices (King111, Companies Act etc)
Taxation legislation & Principles
SAP Experience and knowledge (SAP-FI & CO, fixed assets, cash management)
Basic salary: R40-50k per month
