Job Description:
An Assistant Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in assisting the Finance Manager with all administrative and financial duties. The successful candidate will the required to ensure that all accounting functions are running smoothly and all accounts are accurate and IFRS complaint; that the business adheres to all tax compliance and other statutory requirements; ensure that all accounting, management and tax reporting deadlines are met and lastly, coordinate and supervise the internal and external audits in all reports.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining complete accounting records
  • Wholly responsible as bookkeeper to take overall responsibilities towards internal and external stakeholders
  • Review and approval of all accounting transactions
  • Review and managing of Incadea exchange rates
  • Review and monitoring of weekly cashflow forecast of income/expenses
  • Compiling monthly recovery Debit Notes for recovery of expenses and costs
  • Ensuring all recovery clearing accounts for subsidiaries are cleared monthly
  • All MIS reports for – Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Borrowing Schedule and Flash Reports
  • Investigating and reporting on variances between actual vs budget
  • Assist the finance manager with all regulatory and corporate governance related matters
  • Lodging tax disputes or tax queries with SARS for any tax matters
  • Service level agreements with countries for debit note recoveries, and others
  • Facilitation of statutory audit, completion of annual financial statements and verification/review of subsidiaries’ financial statements
  • Preparation and co-ordination/ supervision of consolidated annual financial statements
  • Preparation of various forecasts, solvency & liquidity workings etc. as and when required to meet management’s requirements
  • Overall responsible for administrative management of the central buying department and activities such as: Purchase Orders, Invoices, Shipments and Payments
  • Corporate Travel Administration Content

 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill

  • CA – Member of South Africa Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA)
  • 5 years' minimum experience in a finance and accounting field
  • Demonstrated experience in the accounting field
  • Demonstrated experience in the field of South African taxation
  • Demonstrated experience in the field of banking and treasury
  • Demonstrated experience in management reporting Content
